monday.com June 2025 updates

Looking for the latest monday.com updates from June 2025? This month’s release brings a powerful mix of visual enhancements, enterprise-level planning tools, and smarter automations. Whether you’re using WorkCanvas, managing complex projects, or exploring monday AI, these updates are designed to help your team work faster, collaborate better, and stay aligned across every phase of your workflow.
In this post, we’ll walk you through the most important new features so you can quickly see what’s new and how to use it.
WorkCanvas
Zoom Enhancements
You can now type in a custom zoom percentage or use the new “Fit to screen” option to instantly adjust your view. This gives you more control over how you navigate large or detailed canvases.
Use case
During a team meeting, you use “Fit to screen” to show the full process map without scrolling, making it easier for everyone to follow along.

Smart Shape Suggestions
WorkCanvas now includes smart shape suggestions to help you build diagrams and workflows faster. As you add shapes, the system suggests the next logical step or lets you duplicate the previous one, ideal for mapping out consistent, structured processes.
Use case
You’re designing a hiring workflow. After adding a “Review CV” step, WorkCanvas suggests a similar shape for “Schedule Interview,” helping you build out the flow without breaking your rhythm.

Work Management
Batch Actions on Subitems
You can now select subitems from different parent items and apply batch actions to them all at once, saving time and reducing repetitive work.
Use case
You’re updating the status of 4 subtasks across 4 different items. Instead of clicking into each one, you select them all and update them in one go.

Resource Planner
Available in: Enterprise
The new Resource Planner allows you to plan team capacity before assigning tasks. You can allocate people or placeholders based on role, location, or skill, giving you a strategic overview of your project needs.
Use case
You’re planning a product launch and know you’ll need a UX designer and a QA engineer. You add placeholders for those roles and later match them with available team members who meet the criteria.

Capacity Manager
Available in: Enterprise
Capacity Manager gives you a centralized view of all resource planners across projects. You can quickly identify who’s overbooked or underbooked and reassign work accordingly.
Use case
You notice your lead developer is overloaded next week, while another team member has availability. With just a few clicks, you reassign tasks and keep the project on track.

Cross-Project Dependencies
Available in: Enterprise
You can now create dependencies between tasks in different projects, making it easier to coordinate work across teams and timelines.
Use case
Your marketing campaign depends on a product feature being completed. You link the two tasks, even though they’re in separate boards, and get notified if one is delayed.

Workflows
Available in: Enterprise
Workflows are now more powerful than ever, with new blocks and triggers that simplify automation and reduce the need for multiple rules.
New Automation Blocks
Move item to board: Transfer items between boards and map data fields.
Find connected subitem: Automatically locate related subitems.
Update subitem: Change multiple columns at once, saving automation slots.
Convert text to date/number: Clean and transform data directly in your workflow.
Change column value on subitems: More control over subitem automation.
New Triggers
- When any subitem column changes: One automation can now handle multiple column changes.
When update is created: Automatically move files from updates into the file column.
Use case
You’re automating a hiring process. When a candidate’s status changes, their item is moved to a new board, subitems are updated, and files from the update are stored, all in one streamlined workflow.

WorkForms
Campaign Tagging with UTM Parameters
You can now add tags to forms to track campaigns using UTM parameters. These tags are automatically added to the form URL and create a new column in the board to store the data.
Use case
You’re running a LinkedIn ad campaign. By tagging the form, you can track which submissions came from that campaign and analyze performance directly in monday.com.

Widgets
Enhanced Calendar View
The calendar widget now supports more customization. You can color and label timeline columns using different board columns, making your calendar easier to read and more informative at a glance.
Use case
You color tasks by priority and label them by owner, so your team can instantly see who’s doing what, and how urgent it is.

AI
AI-Generated Summaries
AI can now generate summaries of updates or entire threads, helping you catch up on conversations quickly without reading through every comment.
Use case
You’ve been out of office for a few days. Instead of scrolling through a long thread, you read the AI summary and get up to speed in seconds.

Admin Controls
Automation Ownership Transfer
When a user is deactivated, their automations can now be automatically transferred to a default user, preventing broken workflows and missed actions.
Use case
A team member leaves the company. Instead of manually reassigning their automations, they’re automatically transferred to a backup owner, keeping everything running smoothly.

AI Permissions
You now have more control over how AI features are used across your account.
Enable or disable AI features
All plan types can now choose whether AI features are visible to their account members. This setting allows you to turn AI on or off at the account level, depending on your team’s needs.

Control AI column usage and visibility
Available in: Enterprise
Enterprise admins can go a step further by defining who can use AI columns and who can only view them. This helps manage AI credit usage and ensures sensitive data is handled appropriately.
Use case
You enable AI features for your entire organization but restrict column editing to team leads. This way, everyone benefits from AI insights, but only authorized users can generate or modify AI-powered content.

Workspace Owner Asset Control
Available in: Enterprise
Admins can now allow workspace owners to assign themselves as owners of assets within their workspace—without needing help from an account admin.
Use case
A workspace owner needs to take over a board or dashboard. With this setting enabled, they can do it themselves, saving time and reducing admin overhead.
